Biography

Marivic Cruz Gallego, an experienced educator, has been teaching foreign nationals in both regular and private schools since 2006. Throughout her teaching career, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm. Ms. Marivic possesses a diverse skill set that includes expertise in staff development, teaching methodologies, higher education, educational technology, lesson planning, curriculum development, school event hosting, and lecturing.
Ms. Marivic joined Paragon International University as a full-time lecturer in Academic English and Business courses in 2019. She was appointed as the acting Director of the Writing Center in 2022.

Academically accomplished, Ms. Marivic earned her undergraduate degree in English from the esteemed University of the Cordilleras in the Philippines. Furthermore, she holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from Benguet State University, Philippines.
During her extensive tenure in China spanning over ten years, Ms. Marivic served as a Programme Foundation Teacher, IELTS Trainer, and professor of Professional Communication and Business Communication. Displaying her dedication to fostering language proficiency, she also volunteered in English Corners at various public schools, helping students enhance their spoken English skills.
Driven by a profound desire to make a positive impact, Ms. Gallego endeavors to inspire hope, stimulate students’ imaginations, and cultivate a genuine love for learning and personal responsibility among her learners.
