The covid-19 pandemic has been affecting many people’s lives globally. It makes our world suffer economically, and our individuals’ lives become financially short. Numerous businesses are shutting down; people are losing their jobs, the unemployment rate is starting to rise, students are unable to go to school, and struggling to cope with virtual learning on top of being isolated from friends. However, during our fight against the pandemic, we can take this opportunity to learn essential skills to keep ourselves productive and self-employed for our personal and professional growth.
Therefore, how do I manage to keep myself entertained?
“For me, the biggest takeaway is the ability to manage myself and my work. I think it is probably the most important skill to keep myself on track by having everything planned and not being distracted by the surrounding environment. Imagine being at home without having a daily plan and just being on the bed all day and could not hang out anywhere. After a while, you would get bored and do not know what to do next then; you start to feel isolated because you could not go out to meet with your besties. Another crucial takeaway for me would probably be the adaptability of virtual learning. It is tough and challenging not to go to school or be in an environment filled with educational resources and supports. However, after some time, I started to realize. I found a way to keep myself entertained by doing self-study with resources provided on the internet and simultaneously looking for opportunities to gain some extra credits with online activities.”
Finally, to successfully fight against this pandemic, we, as good citizens, should be cooperative and execute the measurements provided by the government and avoid unnecessary activities to protect ourselves and our respectful people from this deadly virus. “Stay Home Stay Safe.”
