This growing awareness has led to an increasing demand for skilled designers who are proficient in digital visual language and communication. The Department of Digital Arts and Design is dedicated to nurturing this new wave of creativity by cultivating expertise in visual literacy and digital storytelling through diverse mediums such as illustration, typography, video game design, and both 3D and 2D computer graphics.
Students are encouraged to explore and innovate using the latest production technologies, equipping them to craft compelling digital narratives. The Department’s educational philosophy emphasizes the importance of pushing the boundaries of conventional digital design trends, fostering critical and theoretical thinking, and inspiring students to bring original and innovative ideas to the dynamic field of digital arts.
The Department of Digital Arts and Design’s undergraduate program offers a dynamic, two-phase curriculum designed to build foundational knowledge and advanced skills in digital arts.
Phase One (Years 1 and 2) introduces students to essential concepts through a broad-based curriculum, covering subjects like Khmer Studies, Economics, Programming, Art History, and Studio Art. Courses in Drawing, Typography, Digital Design, and Color Theory help students develop core visual communication skills.
Phase Two (Years 3 and 4) focuses on specialized training in areas such as Animation, Illustration, 3D Design, UI/UX Design, and Game Development. The program culminates with a two-part Final Year Project, allowing students to apply their skills in a comprehensive, real-world project.
Throughout the program, students are encouraged to explore contemporary production technologies and develop their creativity, preparing them for successful careers in digital arts and design
The Digital Arts and Design (DAD) program equips graduates with a comprehensive and competitive edge in the ever-evolving creative industry. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates foundational knowledge with advanced practical skills, preparing students to excel in various roles. Throughout the program, students engage in courses that cover essential aspects of digital arts, from drawing and design fundamentals to specialized areas like 3D design, animation, UI/UX, and multimedia production.
