Digital Marketing Officer – Job Description

Position: Digital Marketing Officer

Department: Office of Public Relations

Reports to: Director of Public Relations

Job Summary:

The Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads. This role involves managing social media, SEO/SEM, content marketing, email campaigns, and digital advertising while analyzing performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Strategy & Campaign Management

– Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, search engines, and email marketing.

– Plan and manage paid digital advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).

– Monitor and optimize campaign performance to ensure maximum reach and engagement.

2. Social Media Management

– Manage and grow social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).

– Create and schedule engaging content, including text, images, and videos.

– Engage with the online community, respond to comments, and monitor social media trends.

3. Content Creation & Management

– Develop high-quality content for websites, social media, and email marketing.

– Collaborate with designers and videographers to produce multimedia content.

– Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

4. SEO & Website Management

– Optimize website content for search engines (SEO) to improve ranking and visibility.

– Analyze website traffic using Google Analytics and suggest improvements.

– Work with web developers to update website content and enhance user experience.

5. Email & CRM Marketing

– Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to engage and retain students and parents.

– Create email newsletters, promotional campaigns, and automated email sequences.

– Monitor and improve email campaign performance using analytics tools.

6. Performance Tracking & Reporting

– Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports on campaign effectiveness.

– Use tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and SEMrush to analyze data.

– Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

– Experience in digital marketing, social media management, or online advertising.

– Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, SEO tools, and email marketing software.

– Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

– Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging digital content.

– Analytical skills to measure campaign performance and optimize results.

– Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro) is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

– Experience in the education sector or corporate branding is an advantage.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
