This Master of Science in Management of Information Systems is designed to prepare students for challenging careers involving the design, analysis, implementation and operation of computer-based information systems. MIS involves the use of technologies in organizations and the integration of computer skills with the functional
areas of management. MIS professionals are the “communication bridge” between business needs and technology. Graduates of the MIS program can pursue careers as Business Analysts, IT Consultants, Systems Analysts, IT Development Project Leaders, Database Administrators, Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Analysts, Web Developers and Information Systems Managers.

Program Objectives

MSc in MIS program aims to:

  • Equip learners with the ability to support a business process and the strategic needs of an organization
  • Equip learners with the ability to understand and apply the concept of enterprise data management
  • Equip learners with the ability to Analyse business processes for redesign, improvement and potential automation purposes
  • Equip learners with the ability to generate the vision, direction and strategic purpose for the creation of an information systems project
  • Equip learners with the ability to construct a plan to verify that the regulations, compli ance and security issues within an organization are addressed
  • Equip learners with the ability to explain and develop an effective IT project plan meeting professional standards
