Alumni Networking Night 2025

Strengthening Connections: Paragon International University Hosts “Alumni Networking Night” event

Paragon International University hosted a vibrant Alumni Networking Night event on 13 June 2025, at Novotel, Phnom Penh, bringing together graduates from various cohorts, future graduate students, and faculty members for an evening of connection, collaboration, and community building. The gathering highlighted the university’s ongoing commitment to nurturing lifelong relationships with its alumni while creating meaningful opportunities for professional growth.

The evening opened with a warm and inspiring address from Dr. Bulat Akhmetkarimov, Rector of Paragon International University, who extended a heartfelt welcome to all attendees. In his remarks, Dr. Akhmetkarimov reflected on the university’s milestones, noting that this year marks the 15th anniversary of Paragon International University. It’s the achievement that speaks volumes about growth, resilience, and commitment to excellence. He highlighted the record enrollment, the largest graduating class to date, the successful launch of new Graduate School programs, and recognition as an SQA Approved Centre, with steps underway toward AUN accreditation.

The Rector also emphasized the exciting physical transformation of the campus, including expansion into a new building and improvements that resonate deeply with alumni, such as the addition of a proper parking lot. Above all, he reminded alumni that they are the “very heart and soul of this community,” urging them to reconnect, reminisce, and continue serving as an inspiration for future generations of students.

The program featured inspiring talks from distinguished alumni speakers: Mr. Vannak Orn, Ms. Gechpor Kim, and Mr. Sovichea Saron. Each shared their professional journeys, offering valuable insights into career development, industry trends, and the transition from university life to the workplace. Their stories resonated deeply with attendees, particularly students, who were able to ask questions and gain first-hand guidance from those who once stood in their shoes.

In addition to the talks, participants engaged in structured networking sessions and informal discussions designed to strengthen alumni connections and create new opportunities for collaboration. Many graduates expressed their appreciation for having a dedicated space to reconnect with peers, meet professionals from different industries, and build lasting relationships.

The event, organized by Mr. Mara Y Sles, Alumni Affairs Officer, also marked the introduction of new alumni engagement initiatives, including mentorship opportunities, collaborative projects, and plans for future alumni ambassador programs. These initiatives reflect ParagonU’s vision of creating a global alumni network that not only celebrates shared achievements but also fosters professional and personal development.

Beyond professional exchange, the gathering was also a celebration of community spirit. Alumni enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, reminiscing about their university experiences, and forming new bonds across graduating classes. The evening concluded on a high note, with participants expressing both pride and excitement about the university’s ongoing efforts to engage and empower its alumni community.

This event would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of the Public Relations Team and the ParagonU Student Ambassadors, whose dedication and support played a major role in ensuring its success.

The success of this Alumni Networking Night Event reaffirms the importance of cultivating meaningful alumni relations. As Paragon International University continues to expand its programs and reach, alumni will remain at the heart of its mission—serving as ambassadors, mentors, and partners in shaping the future.
