Paragon International University has announced scholarships of up to 100% for Cambodian students returning from Thailand due to the recent Cambodia–Thailand border conflict. The initiative aims to support students who wish to continue their academic journey in Cambodia, with scholarship opportunities ranging from 50% to 100%, depending on eligibility.
The program reflects the university’s commitment to facilitating the educational journey of Cambodian students affected by the conflict. It also responds to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport’s appeal in late July 2025 to assist students displaced by the border clashes.
Rector of Paragon International University, Dr. Bulat Akhmetkarimov, highlighted that the scholarship program ensures returning students have the opportunity to resume their academic locally. He noted that Paragon International University is ready to provide support in line with each applicant’s academic qualifications.
“This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to nurturing talented human resources and demonstrates our spirit of solidarity in challenging times,” Dr. Akhmetkarimov said. “We hope students returning from Thailand will gain valuable knowledge at our university and contribute meaningfully to Cambodia’s development.”
Dr. Bulat also reaffirmed Paragon International University’s dedication to high-quality education. The institution has been recognized by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and has recently partnered with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), a globally recognized body.
Students returning from Thailand who wish to apply must meet the university’s English proficiency requirements and complete the online application form, including their academic transcripts from Thai universities and their high school diploma.
