Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Sreypich Dy, a junior in International Trade and Logistics at Paragon International University, has recently returned from a transformative international exchange program at Centennial College in Canada. Sreypich participated in the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program, a prestigious opportunity funded by the Government of Canada.
The journey to acceptance was a rigorous one. To secure a place in the SEED program, Sreypich was required to maintain a strong GPA and a compelling letter of intent. This was not easy, as it required showing good academic performance and experience. However, with support from the seniors and the International Cooperation Director, SreyPich managed to write a great letter and was accepted into the program.

Upon her arrival in Canada, Sreypich enthusiastically embraced the new environment. She actively explored the Canadian education system and seized opportunities to connect with local business owners. Beyond her academic pursuits, she immersed herself in the culture, visiting renowned landmarks and, as a student, enjoying free access to many attractions, which enriched her experience.
Sreypich noted that the exchange program was a period of significant personal and professional growth. Her language skills improved, and she gained confidence in communicating with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Living with roommates from Hong Kong and Canada broadened her perspective and fostered a greater sense of independence. Despite facing moments of culture shock, she embraced each challenge as a valuable learning opportunity.
The experience, she reflected, helped her see the world in a new light. Meeting students from across the globe exposed her to different ways of thinking, providing a broader, more global perspective that she believes will be instrumental in her future business career.

“The culture is magnificent, the eye-candy sites, and the opportunity to meet new people from all around the globe,” Sreypich commented. “The experience was entirely life-changing and could have a deep impact on others as well.”
Sreypich wholeheartedly recommends the SEED program to her peers, underscoring its unique value in offering a rich blend of cultural immersion, beautiful sights, and global connections. Her success serves as an inspiring example of the opportunities available to Paragon International University students through international partnerships.
