Biography

Dr. Deth Sok Udom is a Professor of International Relations at Paragon International University and the Chief Operating Officer of Paragon Education Co., Ltd. He graduated with high honors in Sociology from Boğaziçi University (Türkiye), earned a master’s degree in Southeast Asian Studies from Ohio University (USA), and holds a Ph.D. in Southeast Asian Studies from Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany).

As an academic, he has authored several book chapters and journal articles on Cambodia’s political history and foreign affairs. He was the co-editor of Cambodia’s Foreign Relations in Global and Regional Contexts (KAS Cambodia, 2017) and the editor of its second edition (KAS Cambodia, 2025), as well as Cambodia 2040 (KAS Cambodia & Future Forum, 2019). He currently serves as co-editor of the Journal of Greater Mekong Studies (JGMS). His latest book is A History of Cambodia–Thailand Diplomatic Relations, 1950–2020 (Galda Verlag, 2020).
