On 4 March 2025 – In a landmark move to strengthen accounting and auditing education in Cambodia, Paragon International University (ParagonIU) and the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the presence of Dr. Bulat Akhmetkarimov, Rector of ParagonIU, and Ms. Savuth Daly, Executive Director of KICPAA. The signing ceremony was also attended by KICPAA technical officers and representatives from ParagonIU’s Banking and Finance (BAF) Department.
The MoU marks a significant step forward in enhancing the quality of accounting and auditing training in Cambodia. Both institutions reaffirmed their shared commitment to developing a new generation of highly skilled and ethical accounting professionals, capable of meeting both national and international standards. The partnership builds on previous joint efforts by ParagonIU and KICPAA in developing competent human resources to respond to the growing market demand in the finance and auditing sectors.
At the core of this collaboration is the Accounting Technician Qualification (ATQ) Program, which focuses on professional training, curriculum enhancement, training of trainers (TOT), experience sharing, and skill-building initiatives. This initiative aims to equip Cambodian students with the expertise needed to excel in local, regional, and international markets.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Bulat Akhmetkarimov highlighted that the MoU aligns with ParagonIU’s broader strategy of expanding academic and professional partnerships at both national and international levels. He emphasized that this collaboration will strengthen the university’s role as one among leader in professional accounting education while contributing to the development of Cambodia’s human capital in a globally competitive financial sector.
This milestone agreement reflects Paragon International University’s ongoing dedication to providing world-class education and empowering Cambodian students with the skills to thrive in an evolving economic landscape.
