Paragon International University and Cambodia-Japan Digitalized Manufacturing Centre (CJDM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on enhancing engineering education. The signing ceremony took place on 17 July 2024, with Mr. Jun Arii, deputy chairman of Cambodia-Japan Digitalized Manufacturing Centre (CJDM), H.E. Yim Prosithyrith, Chief Executive Officer of CJDM, and Dr. Bradley Jensen MURG, Associate Professor, Interim Rector, and Provost at Paragon International University, representing their respective institutions.
The four-year partnership aims to provide Industrial Engineering (IE) students with hands-on experience in machinery through practical learning opportunities at CJDM. The collaboration will be integrated into the university’s curriculum, offering students course credits upon successful completion of the program.
CJDM agrees to provide the course, manage the classroom on the university platform, and adhere to the university’s course evaluation criteria standards. Course credit and duration will be in accordance with the university’s standard course credit requirements. The course will be offered in the first semester of the academic year. The specific day and time for the course will be determined jointly by CJDM management and the Head of the Department of the university.
CJDM will commit to providing Paragon International University students with available internship opportunities or training while Paragon.U will commit to inviting CJDM to any future career-related workshops or any future workshops that might interest CJDM. The Paragon International University will benefit from the MOU by providing IE students with the opportunity to learn about machines at CJDM, offering internship opportunities, inviting CJDM to workshops, promoting the university’s brand, and receiving necessary lab equipment and a qualified lecturer from CJDM.
