Dear Readers,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome all of you to Paragon International University. Founded in 2010, our decision to establish the university was based on our belief that we have reached the right stage, in terms of our experience with the Zaman schools, to extend our instructional services to the sector of higher education.
Over the past eight years, during which I have had the privilege to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors, Paragon International University has become a reputable higher education institution which continues to aspire to be a leading university in terms of quality of teaching, research and community services. Thanks to the high qualifications of our academic and administrative staff, our students and alumni have received an educational experience that is on par with top achieving universities in the region and across the globe.
It is my pleasure to point out that almost all of our alumni are currently holding prominent positions in national and international organizations. Likewise, around 35 percent of former students are pursuing graduate studies (up to Ph.D. level) in leading universities around the world, while the rest (around 15 percent) have embarked on exciting entrepreneurial journeys of starting their own businesses. We are also particularly proud that many of our student teams have participated and won many national and regional business competitions, with the combined value of winnings in such contests worth more than $40,000.
With an international outlook, Paragon International University has also expanded its cooperation with various prominent universities around the world, from South Korea and Australia to Thailand to the United States.
Currently, the University is providing quality education to over 800 students at the undergraduate level in three main faculties: Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Information and Computer Technologies and Faculty of Engineering. Our next goal is to expand and develop the University’s physical facilities and human resources, as well as to offer graduate programmes that will meet the market demand amid the changing economic forces associated with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
As Chairwoman of Paragon Educational Company, I am committed to providing the necessary resources to support our University’s administration to achieve its mission of guiding our students to graduate with the four core values that we uphold: Responsibility, Integrity, Discovery, and Excellence.
Yours Faithfully,
Lok Chumteav Chea Sophakanny
Chairwoman
